I am always amazed how quickly the time flies! In so many ways it seems like I was just there the other day to welcome these little ones to the world. I am so very pleased with this litter, they all have very sound, happy and outgoing temperaments, as well as beautiful conformation too. One by one they will be leaving this week into next and it makes me so excited and sad at the same time to send them on their way to their new families.
Here they are at 8 weeks old...
Dolce Vita Pienza (Wilma)
Dolce Vita Todi
Dolce Vita Bevagna
Dolce Vita Norcia
Dolce Vita Spello
(Can you tell which one was the wiggly one this week?!)
This week I would like to introduce them by name!!
This litter was named after some of our favorite town that we have visited in Italy. Most of these towns are in Umbria, with one of them being in Tuscany. These towns are some of the most beautiful places on earth and also so rich in history. When visiting these towns it feels like a bit of heaven on earth.
The time is going so fast, and they are now changing everyday instead of weekly. They were walking for the first time in the grass today and I got some very cute shots of them. It was a breezy and sunny day and they were taking in all of the new smells - it's so much fun to watch them experience something for the first time.
I know I said last week that I have their names picked out, but I am still not able to decide which one will get which name...sorry for the delay.
There are a lot of photos today - I took over two hundred and just couldn't help but share a lot of them.
So much personality starting to emerge! Within the last couple of days we have barking, growling, gnawing, and tails wagging! They have gone from eating and sleeping 99% of the time, just last week, to actually walking and playing. Sanu' is still very attentive and feeding them very regularly so I have not rushed into giving them their first feeding of mash. I will probably do that in the next day or two and will try to post pictures of their first meal - that's always fun to watch.
I have also chosen their names and will add them to these pictures soon.
Here are their three week old pictures... and I must say, there are some really adorable ones! :)
