Fourth Week

Here are some random pictures from their 4th week.  They continue to become more fun as the days pass...and a lot more work!  Mom is becoming less of the main caretaker which means my duties are increasing.  They've been moved into the family room, right next to the kitchen so they can be exposed to a lot more noise and commotion.  They have all handled the increase in activity and noise absolutely fine and are now meeting the other dogs.

Third Week.

With all of the snow and frigid cold we've been having, I can't take the puppies outside for pictures, which is my favorite place for photographing puppies.  I am finding the individual indoor pictures just are not turning out so well, but here are some random photos from their third week.  This week they are playing, barking, growling, running (before they fall over!), and they've been started on mash.

Two Weeks Old!

So much changes between week one and week two!  The puppies are actually 2 1/2 weeks old in these pictures (sorry for the wait!), and they are so different from the last pictures in looks, size and development.  As you can see they all have their eyes open now and as of today, I realized they can all hear.  I opened up the door next to their whelping box which made a very loud bang and a couple of the puppies were startled.  They've gone from a a silent and dark world to being able to see and hear in a matter of a few short days.  They are starting to walk, bark and will have a few moments of attempting to play with each other - before they fall over.  So much fun to watch now!
